Revd Dr Bertold Höcker, Superintendent

The Superintendent is the public face of the church district and the supervisor of its ordained ministers and lay staff. Bertold Höcker was elected Superintendent in 2009. Originally from Kiel, he studied Protestant theology, church music, and psychology. Prior to his election, he was a church administrator in northern Germany and then, from 2004–2009, pastor of the Antoniterkirche in Cologne. A committed modernizer and reformer, he was reelected to a second term as Superintendent in 2019.

Revd Dr Silke Radosh-Hinder, Deputy Superintendent

Dr Silke Radosh-Hinder came to the district of Berlin-Stadmitte as a trainee pastor in Kreuzberg in 1998. Following her ordination, she continued there as a pastor before her appointment as district minister for children and youth. As Deputy Superintendent, the focus of her work continues to be the church’s work with young people, continuing to expand and reform it with a special eye toward interfaith dialogue among Berlin’s Christian, Jewish, and Muslim communities.
